Archeological museum of Ithaca
The Archeological museum of Ithaca is located at Vathy demonstrating exhibits from Geometric age until the Roman period. Among the exhibits dominates Odysseus’ bronze bust and god’s Apollo objects of worship.
Stavros Archeological collection
The Archeological collection of Stavros hosts exhibits from Bronze age until the Roman era. One of the most important exhibits is one piece of a woman’s clay mask with the inscription on it: «ΕΥΧΗΝ ΟΔΗΣΣΕΙ» which is a prayer to Odysseus, proving that Odysseus beyond a homecoming symbol it was an existing person.
Kioni
The picturesque harbor at Kioni, well known as a pirate’s bay, the harbor nowadays is full with yachts. In the harbor entrance there are three windmills. During your visit there you can see Georgios Karaiskakis house who was a hero of the Greek revolution in 1821.
Kourvoulia beach
Kourvoulia beach is composed by three small bays and it’s located at the route from Frikes to Kioni. A rocky scenery with dense vegetation configure a magical image.
